Sam's Variety

This is Sam at Sam’s Variety. South End and its, I believe, 8,000 residents do not have a grocery store. Most of the food has to be purchased at the City Market or in the numerous convenience stores. That wouldn’t be such a problem if the prices were not often substantially higher than at the large grocery stores. Most of the convenience store owners are folks who are doing their best to provide the necessities, but with limited buying power they can not match low prices of the large chains. Access to affordable food in one of the poorest areas of the city was not on the agenda of any of the candidates at the recent provincial by-election.

I want you all to go here. Brenda Kenneally documentary style and exceptional story telling will blow you away. After that, visit Interactive Narratives which is exploring new ways of telling web based stories. Than go visit the remarkable website of Simon Norfolk.
