![]() So for the first time in over two decades there is a company that’s going to build a brand new oil refinery in North America. Right here in Saint John, right next to the largest such facility in the country. Federal government just decided they’ll pass on the opportunity to do a full environmental impact assessment study. Yup. That’s right. In this age of climate change and environmental awareness, the federal government of Canada, Canada’s New Government, as they like to call themselves, is not interested in doing an environmental impact assessment study on what is going to be the largest oil refinery in the country. Why are they not interested? Because the province can do it. Which is fine. In fact why don’t we download that responsibility down to municipality or may be, what the heck, a community centre, down in the area. Because it’s just the largest oil refinery in the country that we are talking about. It’s not like that this is going to have any impact on anything. This is Kane’s Corner on the corner of Westmorland and Loch Lomond in East Saint John. My, my... robots have sure come a long way. Check this out: RuBot II - a Rubik’s Cube solving robot. Also, check out the architectural photos coming out of the Anderson & Low studio. | |
