![]() Just when you think that Maclean’s could not possibly come up with another offensive cover, they manage to surprise you. First it was the one featuring Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with the headline “The scariest man on Earth.” Nope. That would be the guy south of here. Then it was the one featuring a very young girl, about ten, dressed in provocative clothing with the headline “Why do we dress our daughters like skanks?” Well, apparently, that gets them on the cover of the national magazine of record. Then there was the one with a woman in niqab and a headline question “Do immigrants need rules?” I am assuming not the proper European bred immigrants, just those strange non-white and non-Christian people. And then there is the one currently on the stands featuring a white woman and a doted outline of where her pregnant belly is supposed to be with a headline “Hey lady: What will it take to make you breed?” And make no mistake about it it’s breeding that the misogynistic and racist cabal over there is talking about. Because, you see, they want white women to breed and procreate otherwise the lesser people might take over. It’s truly disgusting. And that is supposed to be Canada’s leading news magazine. The sad thing is that they have experienced and well rounded writers and journalists who take their work seriously, but I can tell you that I stopped reading the magazine for the simple reason that the covers are offensive. This is a corner store along Loch Lomond Road just before the airport. | |
