 I have trouble keeping my eyes on the screen because next to me, sleeping (and snoring) in her basket is little Elise - the newest member of our family. She was born yesterday at 3:53 p.m. at Saint John Regional Hospital. She is 22 inches (55 cm) tall and weighs rather respectable 9 lb and 3 and 3/4 oz (4190 g) and I am very proud to show her off. This is second time that I have watched my wife do the most amazing thing in the world. Despite what she may tell you, I really don’t feel like I did anything of any importance and I honestly think that if men had to give birth we would have diverted all of the Earth’s resources and ingenuity into figuring out how to teleport babies safely and painlessly into the world. I am terribly proud of her - I don’t think I would have the strength to go through this - never mind go through it gracefully... I am hopelessly in love with my girls. | |
