 I was going to post a slideshow with the CBC piece in the background, but there is not enough variety in the images to make it worth your while to actually watch it. So here is the photo of Dr. John Hughes Clarke, Canada Chair of Ocean Mapping and professor at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and his research assistant Kashka Iwanowska. Not seen in the photo is the skipper Jimmy Leslie. They are on board the Heron, a small research vessel, and they are mapping the ocean bottom of the Bay of Fundy. Another photo of the Heron is here. It was picked up by CBC's regional noon show Maritime Noon, which indeed tickles me pink. | |
