 There are families in some of the villages I visited that have amassed amazing ethnographic collections simply by going through their attics, barns and taking in what their neighbours discarded. Sučić family is one of those families. Their beautiful old house and barn are a living museum. In fact, they did turn parts of it into a gallery that you can come and visit. This kitchen is one of those room.The lady of the house will even demonstrate how an old loom works while Mr. Sučić will be more than happy to sing one of the traditional melodies for you. Most of the items they have on display are still undocumented and they are very slowly working on making detailed notes about the usage and origin of the objects in their collection.
