Lonjsko polje marsh, Miss F. and koala bear


Lonjsko polje marsh landscape. Last year was one of the driest years on record in the area.

Miss F. and her imagination never cease to amuse and amaze. Last night she put her little koala bear to sleep in a makeshift bed next to her own bed. Than she stood by it and sighed a deepest, saddest sigh you can imagine.

Me:Why are you so sad?
Miss F.: Koala bear does not want to sleep with me tonight.
Me: How come?
Miss F.: She likes her own bed and she wants to sleep with her friends. [sigh]
Me: You are her friend, too. Why don’t you ask her politely if she would like to sleep with you.

Very quietly, Miss. F. bends over and whispers:

Miss F.: Would you please sleep with me tonight. I am your friend, too.

Suddenly she jumps up, looks at me and stomps her foot.

Miss F.: She said NO!
