 Arghhh… I so want to be able to do photography full time. It’s not about to happen, though. Anyways, here is a quick update. This is Frank. I met him at the King’s Square and he asked about my camera. He has a Leica IIIf that he brought with him from Hungary when he moved to Canada just after the Hungarian Revolution. He settled in Saint John. In Hungary he lived very close to Croatian border in Pécs and speaks quite a bit of Croatian. We had a nice chat and I got to hear quite a bit about his family and the Hungarian community in town that I knew nothing about. Oddly enough, last week a also, quite accidentally, I met a couple of families from Bosnia who call Saint John home. I would also like to share an excellent photoblog by Magnum intern Martin Fuchs. | |
