![]() Well, after a good night of sleep, I decided to shoot today everything digital and colour. That will be used on-line, I hope as a part of an innovative project here in town. I’ll write more about that later. Later in September, there is another piece I will be doing on Reggie’s and that one I will shoot on black and white film. So, there, I don’t really have to make any choices. This is a second test shot from Reggie’s. It was shot at 400 ISO equivalent pushed to about 800 ISO equivalent. As you can see LC1 is pretty noisy, but I actually like it. Funny nobody complains about Delta or T-Max 3200 being grainy and noisy – that’s just part of it – but for some reason we expect digital to be flawless at any speed. Recently, I sent some links about Eastern European photographers to Menno Meijer, a fellow photographer based in Ontario. I realized that most of them did not make it onto this blog, which is a shame because there is a lot of good documentary and photojournalism work done in Eastern Europe. Very little of it is seen in North America. So check out Slovakian Documentary Photographers site. One of my favourite photographers there is Andrej Balco. | |
