On an early Sunday morning, Reggie gets a chance to catch up with the news while waiting for the hungry breakfast crowd. That would be yesterday’s news – there are no Sunday papers in Canada.

Next link in the saga of Eastern European photojournalism will take you to what can best be translated as Objective Lens. The actual play on words is pretty clever. The site features work of several Russian photographers.

On a related note, I colleague just brought me a copy of Broken Empire by Gerd Ludwig. Unfortunately, you can take advantage of this incredible bargain only at a Chapters/Indigo store – books in Bargain Books bin are not available for purchase on-line.

Note:In the foreground is the guest book extolling the virtues of Reggie’s neighbourhood atmosphere, simple food and self depreciating humour.

About me:

Croatian, born 1974
I worked as an interpreter and escort officer for the European Community Monitor Mission in Former Yugoslavia. That experience convinced me that documentary photography has a significant role to play in bringing about positive social change.

After finishing my journalism studies at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Canada, I worked for several Canadian and Croatian newspapers and magazines as a writer and photographer. I am currently freelancing out of Saint John, NB.

SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT
This is my brother's web site. It is a totally different kettle of fish than anything I post here. It’s very creative and, quite frankly, I have no clue how he does it. This is apparently quite applicable stuff and used in everything from film, to entertainment, to gaming industry.
