 The bird's feet were entangled in a mass of tread. Raymond believed this was a deliberate act of cruelty. With infinite care and gentleness, all along cursing the morons who did it, he tried to free pigeon's feet. The bird, which could not stand up, eventually calmed down in his hands. | |
