![]() Germain Street is one of the prettiest residential streets I have seen so far in Canada. Stately mansions, which today often have more than one unite, were originally built by wealthy merchants and shipbuilders. Most of the Germain Street was rebuilt in late 1800s after the The Great Fire that devastated the city in 1877. Today, the street is probably at its most beautiful in fall when its trees break into a dazzling display of colours. Photo District News has a list of 20 most influential photographers of all time. It’s a very limited list and mine would certainly look differently. For example, Eugene W. Smith and Robert Capa did not make the list. If this does not scare you, I don’t know what will. Russia, China looking to form 'NATO of the East'? History will have harsh, harsh words for current American administration. They have wasted such historic opportunities to make this world into a safer and gentler place. UPDATE: I just looked at this entry and the image looked strangly muddled and all mushy so I just rescanned and reposted. I have no idea what happened. | |
